Baseball ends season with loss to No. 1 Cougars in NACC Tournament

MEQUON, Wis. – The Falcon's season ended with a 7-2 loss to the No. 1 nationally ranked Cougars on Saturday morning. Concordia Wisconsin was one of the last three remaining teams in the tournament as they lost 7-2 to Concordia Chicago. 

THE BASICS
-Final Score: Cougars 7, Falcons 2
-Records: Cougars 37-6, Falcons 20-21 

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Cougars jumped out to a lead in the second with a four-run inning.
-The Falcons got one back in the third as Drew Johnson (Menasha, Wis.) send a solo shot over the left field wall for his first home run of the season.
-CUC responded with a pair of homers to increase their lead. Connor Brandon hit a two-run shot to right center in the fifth and Keegan Tyrell hit a solo shot to left in the seventh.
-CUW capitalized on a wild pitch in the eighth as Christian Gerner (Mequon, Wis.) scored.
-The Falcons finished the season 20-21 overall with a 13-9 conference record.
