OLIG POSTGAME

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons did all of their damage in the seventh inning with a three-run frame. CUW trailed 1-0 entering the seventh before Dan Ranieri (Loves Park, Ill.) started the party with a leadoff single. Justin Barney (Kenosha, Wis.) delivered an RBI triple, plating Ranieri to tie the game.

- CUW loaded the bases and Kyle Washburn (Pleasant Prairie, Wis.) stepped up to the plate with two outs and recorded a huge two-RBI single, scoring Barney and Michael Szeszol (Lake Bluff, Ill.), giving the Falcons a 3-1 lead.

- Olig (Plymouth, Wis.) was on all game, limiting Benedictine to five hits. The sophomore needed 91 pitches to work through eight innings for his fifth win of the season. Plachinski (South Milwaukee, Wis.) worked a perfect ninth for his sixth save of the season. The save was also the 15th of Plachinski's career.

- Ranieri, Eric Paz (Kenosha, Wis.), and Washburn all collected two hits for the Falcons. Paz doubles, as did Szeszol, while Barney had the RBI triple in the seventh.
