PETER SCOTT POSTGAME

CUW 8, AURORA 1 (Game Two)
- The Falcons were led by Alex Prickett (Cedarburg, Wis.) and Peter Scott (Dayton, Nev.) in game two. Prickett got the win on the mound, throwing six innings. The sophomore allowed just one three hits and one run while striking out seven. Niko Kutsulis (Homer Glen, Ill.) threw two scoreless innings of relief and Scott Plachinski (South Milwaukee, Wis.) got the final three outs.

- Scott had an outstanding game at the plate going 3-for-4 with a seventh-inning grand slam that put the game away. Scott, who added a double and a single in the contest, scored two runs and drove in four.

- Aurora led 1-0 with the first run coming in the top of the fourth inning but the Falcons quickly responded with a run in the bottom half and two more in the fifth. Austen Dart (Algoma, Wis.), who finished 2-for-4, provided an RBI ground-rule double in the fifth.

- Kyle Hilliard (Oak Forest, Ill.) and Michael Szeszol (Lake Bluff, Ill.) each recorded two hits for the Falcons. Hilliard drove in a pair of runs and Nathan Thyssen (Appleton, Wis.) added a double for CUW in the game two win.

AURORA 11, CUW 0 (Game One)
- Game one was all Spartans as Aurora rolled to an 11-0 win. The Spartans scored three times in the first and added four more in the third, jumping out to a 7-0 advantage. Aurora would score twice in the fourth and once each in the fifth and sixth for the 11 runs in the opener.

- The Spartans would have been good with just one run the way Jacob Stockman threw the ball in the opener. He went all seven innings, allowing three hits with seven strikeouts to move his record to 6-0.

- Jeffrey Mayes started the game with a leadoff home run and had two hits for Aurora. AJ Gill was 3-for-3 with two runs scored and three RBI and Davis Purviance went 3-for-4 with three RBI.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Falcons have split every NACC-opening doubleheader since the 2012 season. In all but one of those instances (2016), CUW dropped the first game before rebounding for a game two victory.

UP NEXT
- The Falcons will visit Rockford for two NACC games Monday. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
