Hilliard and Gausman land NACC, D3Baseball.com Weekly Honors

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin Baseball team had a pair of players honored by both the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference and D3Baseball.com for their performances over the last week. Junior Dylan Gausman and sophomore Kyle Hilliard were rewarded for their big weeks from April 18-24, both honors announced Monday.

Gausman was named the NACC Pitcher of the Week, while Hilliard was chosen as the league's Position Player of the Week. Both players were also named to the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week.

Gausman (Eagan, Minn.) threw a no-hitter last Friday, the first for the Falcons since the 2004 season, in a 4-0 win over Maranatha Baptist. He struck out a career-best 11 batters, while facing two over the minimum.

Hilliard (Oak Forest, Ill.) collected 11 hits in 17 at bats, hitting a robust .647. The sophomore catcher drove in nine runs in five games played, while scoring three times. With a hit in every game last week, Hilliard extended his hitting streak to 12 games.

Gausman, Hilliard and the rest of the Falcons will be back in action Wednesday with a non-conference game at St. Norbert. First pitch is set for 4 p.m.
