ACHA Hockey rallies to defeat Aurora in overtime
AURORA, Ill. – The Concordia Wisconsin Falcons rallied down 4-2 with 3:47 remaining in regulation to earn a 5-4 overtime victory over the Aurora Spartans. The win was the first in program history for the Falcons against the Spartans. Additionally, the win was a program-best 15th of the season, making this the most successful season in program history with eight games still remaining on the regular-season schedule.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans struck first with a pair of first-period goals to take a 2-0 lead.
- Scott Gregor (Ashland, Wis.) cut the Spartan lead in half with a goal four minutes into the second period.
- Aurora regained the two-goal lead as Matt Fudala scored in the final minute of the second frame.
- Concordia Wisconsin trailed 3-1 going into the final nine minutes of regulation before Jonathan Grodzki (Tampa Bay, Fla.) scored with 8:09 remaining the pull the Falcons within one.
- Aurora scored once more with 3:47 remaining, but Wyatt Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.) scored 10 seconds later to keep the Falcons hopes alive.
- Down 4-3 with 1:34 remaining in regulation, Gregor found the net for the second time to tie it up.
- Tied 4-4 at the end of regulation, the game entered overtime. With 1:04 remaining in overtime, Trenton Sherman (Farmington, Minn.) scored the game-winner to give the Falcons their first win over the Spartans in program history.
