ACHA Hockey scores 10 in rout of Wildcats

MEQUON, Wis.  The Concordia Wisconsin Falcons dominated in a 10-0 shutout victory over the Northern Michigan Wildcats on Saturday in the Ozaukee Ice Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Scott Gregor (Ashland, Wis.) started the Falcon avalanche of scoring with a goal five minutes into the opening period.
- 37 seconds later Connor Doyle (Naples, Fla.) doubled the Falcon lead with another CUW goal.
- The Falcons scored four times in the second frame, starting with Wyatt Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.) 10:36 into the period.
- Captain Jonathan Grodzki (Tampa Bay, Fla.) followed five minutes later to put CUW up 4-0.
- In the 17th minute, Logan Hascarl (Naksup, B.C.) scored the fifth goal of the day for the Falcons.
- Trenton Sherman (Farmington, Minn.) closed out the second-period scoring by scoring with 17 seconds remaining in the frame.
- Up 6-0, the Falcons continued the onslaught in the third with four more goals, starting with Wilderman's second of the night 23 seconds into the frame.
- Sean Doyle (Naples, Fla.) scored the eighth goal for CUW 5:33 into the final period.
- Matt Gregor (Ashland, Wis.) followed in the 16th minute with the ninth Falcon goal, and Connor Doyle scored his second of the night in the 18th minute to conclude the Falcons attack.
- Brian Johnson (Plainfield, Ill.) had 27 saves in the shutout win.
