ACHA Hockey ends remarkable season in NCHL Championship
FOND DU LAC, Wis. – The No. 3 seeded and No. 14 regionally ranked Concordia Wisconsin Falcons battled to the very end in a thrilling NCHL Championship game against the No.1 seeded and No. 3 regionally ranked Marian Sabres, but CUW fell 4-3 in overtime.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Sabres struck four minutes into the game with a goal by Jared Lang to go up 1-0.
- Wyatt Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.) evened the game for the Falcons in the third minute of the second period with his team-leading fifth goal of the postseason.
- Five minutes later, Matt Gregor (Ashland, Wis.) scored to give the Falcons the lead.
- Marian answered with goals in the 11th and 18th minutes of the second period to retake the lead.
- Down 3-2 with time running out in the conference-championship game, Gregor found the net once more with 2:26 remaining in regulation to keep the Falcons alive and send the game to overtime.
- Playing their second overtime in as many days, the Falcons battled with everything they had to the very end. Unfortunately, Bryton Tomko scored the game-winner for Marian in the 11th minute of overtime.
- Mack Willy (Tacoma, Wash,) faced a barrage of shots all game from the No. 3 regionally ranked Sabres, saving 63 of them.
