ACHA Hockey scores thrice in final minutes to drop UW-Oshkosh

OSHKOSH, Wis.  The Concordia Wisconsin Falcons took down the UW-Oshkosh Titans on Friday night in a 6-3 final in the series opener on the road.

THE BASICS
- Final Score: Concordia Wisconsin 6, UW-Oshkosh 3
- Records: Concordia Wisconsin 16-4-1, UW-Oshkosh 5-13-0

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Scott Gregor (Ashland, Wis.) and Trenton Sherman (Farmington, Minn.) each scored twice to lead the Falcons in the victory.
- Gregor put the Falcons on the board 15 minutes into the opening period as the Falcons took a 1-0 lead.
- The Titans took a lead in the second period as they scored twice to go up 2-1.
- Easton Williams (Racine, Wis.) evened the game up at 2-2 with 1:02 left in the second period.
- The Falcons took control of the game in the final frame, outscoring the Titans 4-1.
- Sherman scored his first of the night to put the Falcons up 3-2.
- With under six minutes remaining, the Titans tied it up at 3-3.
- The Falcons offense exploded for three goals in the final 2:14 of the game, which started with Cody Faber (Wilmot, Wis.) scoring the game-winner.
- Gregor found the net for the second time with 1:42 remaining to increase the CUW lead, and Sherman followed with 53.9 seconds left to net his second of the game as well.
- Mack Willy (Tacoma, Wash.) had 24 saves for the Falcons in the win.

- The Falcons return home to face UW-Oshkosh on Saturday, January 18th, at 3:30pm for "Pink in the Rink" night.
