ACHA Hockey tops Bemidji State

MEQUON, Wis.  The Concordia Wisconsin Falcons continued their winning momentum in an 8-1 win over the Bemidji State Beavers on Friday night in the Ozaukee Ice Center. The Falcons have won eight in a row.

THE BASICS
- Final Score: Concordia Wisconsin 8, Bemidji State 1
- Records: Concordia Wisconsin 22-4-1, Bemidji State 4-1-0

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Connor Doyle (Naples, Fla.) scored the opening goal for the Falcons in the eighth minute of the first period. It would be the lone goal of the period before the Falcons offense kicked into gear in the second.
- CUW scored five goals in the second period, starting with Cody Faber's (Wilmot, Wis.) game-winning goal in the first minute.
- Trenton Sherman (Farmington, Minn.) followed in the eighth minute with the third Falcon goal of the night.
- The senior captain Jonathan Grodzki (Tampa Bay, Fla.) scored the first of two on the night in the 10th minute of the second frame.
- Matt Gregor (Ashland, Wis.) and Easton Williams (Racine, Wis.) added two more for CUW before the end of the second period.
- The third period continued the Falcon attack as Grodzki scored his second goal one minute into the frame.
- Tucker Hart managed to put the Beavers on the board in the 17th minute of the final period to cut the Falcon lead to six goals.
- Ethan Natzke (Ballwin, Mo.) regained the seven-goal lead for the Falcons by scoring with 28 seconds remaining in regulation.
- Ian Robertson (Calgary, Alberta) had 28 saves in goal for the Falcons in the win.
