Women’s Hockey hosts St. Norbert on Wednesday

NCHA Women's Standings

MEQUON, Wis. - Battling for a spot in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association playoffs, the Concordia University Wisconsin women's hockey team will welcome St. Norbert College to the Ozaukee Ice Center on Wednesday night, in a game that could go a long a way in determining whether or not the Falcons will be playing in the postseason.

Wednesday's game is set to begin at 7:00 pm, and will feature live video for any fans unable to attend.

CUW (7-11-2, 5-9-1 NCHA) is currently ninth in the conference standings, one spot away from being in consideration for the NCHA's O'Brien Cup Playoffs, which begin on Feburary 24.

With a win against the Green Knights on Wednesday, the Falcons can move into a two-way tie with UW-Eau Claire for the eighth and final spot in the conference tournament.

Head coach Jim Ingman and his young team are coming off a pair of road losses to UW-River Falls last weekend, and will be hoping to get back in the win column with only five games left on their regular season schedule.

St. Norbert (10-12-0, 8-9-0 NCHA) has current possession of the seventh seed in the O'Brien Cup Playoffs, after sweeping a two-game series against Finlandia University last weekend.

The Green Knights are led offensively by sophomore forwards Andrea Senne and Zoe Kurth, who have 14 points each.

These two teams met earlier this season on November 30 in De Pere, Wis., with the Green Knights prevailing 3-1.
