Women’s Hockey wins on the road

ADRIAN, Mich.- Although outshot 31-21, Concordia University Wisconsin made the most of their limited opportunities to score a thrilling road win, 3-2, over Adrian College on Saturday night at Arrington Ice Center.

Adrian (5-8-2) got off to a fast start, scoring in the first five minutes, but CUW (7-5-1) came back with a power play score by freshman Elizabeth Otto (Stillwater, Minn.) to tie the game late in the initial period.

Freshman Kelsey Kusch (St. Clair Shores, Mich.) put head coach Jim Ingman's team ahead with a second period tally before senior Muriel McIntyre (Penticton, British Columbia) lit the lamp for what proved to be the game winner at 8:08 of the final session.

Adrian managed several shots late in the contest after pulling their goalie, but the Falcons held on behind freshman Jennifer DeGeorge (Waukesha, Wis.) who made 29 saves.
