NACC Tournament Championship preview: Falcons vs. Muskies

MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin and Lakeland will compete on Saturday at 2 pm for the NACC Tournament Championship and for the right to represent the league in the NCAA Tournament.

NEWSWORTHY NOTES
- EVERYTHING'S ON THE LINE: Concordia Wisconsin and Lakeland have been in this position before, playing for the NACC Tournament Championship. The Falcons have won it twice (2007, 2009), while Lakeland was the champion in 2010. Both teams have never met in the postseason title game in the NACC era.
- FALCONS ON A ROLL: The Falcons are on a roll, winning eight games in a row over the last month. They have defeated opponents by an average of 19.3 points. As well, three of those victories came at home.
- MUSKIES WON SIX IN A ROW: The Muskies have also performed well as of late, winning their last six games by an average of 10 points. Their first five victories in that stretch came on the road.
- CUW WITH THIS SEASON'S EDGE: Concordia Wisconsin has the upper hand in the two meetings this season, defeating Lakeland 68-54 at home (Dec. 7) and 55-52 on the road (Feb. 1). In those matchups, the combined leading scorer for the Falcons was Brianna Wagner with 24 points and the Muskies were led by Rachel Stankevich who tallied 31 points.
- POSTSEASON AWARDS: The NACC postseason awards were announced earlier this week and the honorees were:
  Concordia Wisconsin: Stacey Brunner-Jones (Coach of the Year), Taylor DeLong (First Team), Samantha Blissett (Second Team), Audrey Scharmer (Second Team), Brianna Wagner (Second Team), Arianna Liddicoat (Freshman Team)
  Lakeland: Bailey Grayvold (First Team), Rachel Stankevich (First Team), Tori Lauren (Freshman Team)
