Concordia Nebraska too strong for Women's Basketball

SEWARD, Neb. – Concordia Nebraska used a trapping full-court press all game and drained 14 3-pointers against Concordia Wisconsin on Friday night during the opening day of the Concordia Invitational Tournament, as the Bulldogs defeated the Falcons107-65 inside Walz Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Nebraska – ranked No. 2 in the latest NAIA top-25 – used a full-court trapping press all game to force 34 Concordia Wisconsin turnovers, which they turned into 44 points. The Bulldogs also received 50 points from their reserves and shot 14-of-34 from outside the 3-point arc.
- Concordia Wisconsin stayed in the game through the first period, trailing 24-18, but the host Bulldogs pulled away quickly with a 31-15 second quarter.
- Senior Samantha Blissett (Springfield, Ill.) was a bright spot for the Falcons with a career-high 16 points, five rebounds and three assists.
- Senior Taylor DeLong (Milwaukee, Wis.) ended with six points, five rebounds and five assists. Freshman Arianna Liddicoat (Watertown, Wis.) tallied seven points, two assists and two steals. Freshman Ashley Solberg (Waukesha, Wis.) had season-highs in points (eight) and rebounds (eight) in 18 minutes of work.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Concordia Nebraska has won 24 of the last 30 CIT titles, including three-straight. They will face Concordia Ann Arbor in the championship game on Saturday at 6 pm.

THE OPPOSITION
- Mary Janovich led all players with 19 points on 7-of-9 shooting and Quinn Wragge accumulated 14 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals.
- Brenleigh Daum had 10 points and four assists off the bench.
