NEWSWORTHY NOTES
IN THE PAINTED AREA:
Concordia Wisconsin has been taking advantage of its size and strength around the basket, scoring an average of 28 points per game in the paint. Overall, they have scored 47.3 percent of their points around the hoop.

THE LINE IS WAITING: The Falcons have steadily shot fewer free throws as each game has passed. In the season opener they took 24 attempts and just four in their last game. Overall, they are the thirdbest free throw shooting team in the NACC.

A RIVARLY AS OF LATE? Concordia Wisconsin had owned the series against Concordia Chicago until the 2013-14 season, but since then it has been somewhat of a rivalry you could say. The Falcons own a 3-2 edge in the last five meetings, with the point differential in those contests being just 16 points.

CHAMBERS VALUES THE BALL: It is always important to take care of the basketball and not give it away. Clara Chambers is taking that message to heart this season with 11 assists compared to just three turnovers. Her 3.7 assist-to-turnover ratio ranks second in the NACC. She hasn't committed a turnover in 136:36 minutes of play or since the the 6:36 mark of the third quarter in the season opener against UW-Platteville.

PULLING AWAY IN THE MIDDLE: During CUW's two home games it has pulled away from the opposition in the middle of the game. During last Saturday's win they outscored Marian 20-6 before halftime and in the season opener versus UW-Platteville they had a 25-15 edge in scoring during the third period. CUW is quietly sending a message before and exiting halftime.
