ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The CUW women's lacrosse team fell at Augustana on the road on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons fell 19-10 to move to 1-3 on the season.
The Vikings opened the game on a 6-0 run.
Freshman Megan McPike (Mequon, Wis.) snapped the scoring streak.
After two Augustana goals, the Falcons responded with goals from junior Kelsey Fulton (Sussex, Wis.) and Megan McPike.
Freshman Karlee McCanna (Franklin, Wis.) and senior Lauren Paquin (Waukesha, Wis.) closed the half with goals.
The Falcons closed the game with five of the last seven goals.
Megan McPike scored three of the seven goals.
Senior Kristen Kennedy (London, Ont.) and Lauren Paquin scored the other two.
Megan McPike led all players with 10 points on five goals and five assists.
Lauren Paquin led CUW with two caused turnovers and four draw controls.
In the net, freshman Kinsey Weyer (Stillwater, Minn.) recorded four saves and sophomore Mallory Gurin (Westfield, Ind.) had six.
The Falcons will fly west and travel to Oregon to try to bounce back against Pomona-Pitzer.
