Women's Hockey announces 2014-15 team captains

MEQUON, Wis. – First-year women's hockey head coach Steve Fabiilli has named his team captains for the 2014-15 Women's Hockey season.

Senior Elizabeth Otto (Stillwater, Minn.) will serve as the team captain this upcoming winter after being an assistant captain last year. Otto has played in 52 games over the past three years, scoring eight points. Last year she posted a career-best three assists while playing in all 26 games for the Falcons.

The two assistant captains for the upcoming season will be senior Samantha Reiter (Stillwater, Minn.) and junior Jayda Hoerres (Melrose, Wis.).

Reiter and Hoerres both served as captains in 2013-14 and will be expected to lead again this winter. Reiter appeared in 25 games last season, scoring six goals and adding four assists. Hoerres has not missed a game in her two years with the Falcons and has five assists during that span, including three last year.

CUW will begin its 2014-15 with the Blue-White Game on Saturday October 25 at the Ozaukee Ice Center. The Falcons regular season schedule opens with a two-game home series against Finlandia University October 31 and November 1.
