Women's Hockey places nine on NCHA All-Academic Team

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Seniors Elizabeth Otto and Andrea Mizanskey were selected to the NCHA All-Academic Team for the third time in their careers, as the duo highlighted an impressive list of players earning All-Academic honors for the Concordia University Wisconsin Women's Hockey Team. The league released the list of players Thursday.

Otto (Stillwater, Minn.) and Mizanskey (Palos Heights, Ill.) were two of just three players who earned All-Academic accolades for the third time in their career. In order to qualify, a student-athlete must post a grade point average of 3.3 or higher and be at least of sophomore status.

The Falcons had a total of nine players selected to the NCHA All-Academid Team, which ranked third in the conference. Adrian had 11 players selected, while Marian had 10 players receive the honors.

Four juniors were named NCHA All-Academic for the second time in two possible years of being selected. Included in that list was Jayda Hoerres (Melrose, Wis.), Katherine Pauletti (Roseville, Minn.), Nina Puch (Des Plaines, Ill.) and Chelsea Regan (Oakdale, Minn.).

In addition the Falcons had a trio of sophomores earn the honors in their first year of being eligible for the award. In that group was Nicole Krumwiede (Itasca, Ill.), Veronika Metanova (Palatine, Ill.) and Laine Tomesch (Mequon, Wis.).
