Falcons outscore Beloit 3-1
Mequon
Concordia improved to 3-2-0 in non conference play with a solid 3-1
win over Beloit (2-2-0) this evening.
"We controlled the first 15 minutes and got an early goal (Kyle
Sytsma from James Kroll) but Beloit owned the rest of the first
half," said coach Tom Saleska. "Sam Ische had some saves in goal
for us that were among the best I have ever seen a Concordia keeper
make."
Beloit did tie the score briefly six minutes into the second half
but the Falcons replied quickly as Enzo Berrini slammed home a
beautiful shot off a Zach Lemler assist at 57:01.
Sytsma put the game away with his second tally (a header) off a
Berrini pass six minutes later. "We had to make some lineup
changes due to injury but I was basically pleased with our
performance," smiled Saleska.
