Falcon booters open with 3-2 road win at Carroll

Carroll, favored to win another Midwest Conference title and ranked 23rd Nationally, tallied in the first minute of play, but CUW eventually came back to earn a satisfying 3-2 win last evening in Waukesha.
The frosh combination of Enzo Berrini to Cesar Martinez (who headed the ball into the net) got Concordia (1-0) even at 1-1 before the break.
Second half scores by veterans Victor Mendoza and Kyle Sytsma helped Tom Saleska's team earn a thrilling non-conference victory.
"Our defense was really shaky early and Carroll controlled the action in the first half but we were more composed in the later stages.
Berrini was definitely the Player of the Match for us... all over the field," beamed Saleska.
