Falcons shut out Rockford soccer 3-0
Mequon
When you know an opponent is going to pack in the defense on you,
that first goal of the match is especially important.
It took CUW a good portion of the first half, but Kyle Sytsma
eventually scored what proved to be the game winner off an Enzo
Berrini assist at 31:32, forcing Rockford to come out of their
defensive shell.
Concordia built a comfortable cushion in the second half with
Sytsma converting a penalty kick and Enrique Alvarado banging home
a Phil Dziatkiewicz assist.
Winless Rockford (0-6-3 in the NAC) played the Falcons tough but
Tom Saleska's team improved to 5-1-3 in conference play.
