CUW Sweeps NACC Men’s Lacrosse Weekly Honors

MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its student-athletes of the week on Wednesday morning. The Falcons swept the NACC Men's Lacrosse Student-Athlete of the Week honors with Keijo Day earning the NACC Offensive Player of the Week title and Adam Nichols claiming the NACC Defensive Player of the Week title for the week of March 14-20, 2022, as selected by the league's athletic communications professionals.

A senior from Esko, Minnesota, Keijo Day is the first Falcon to claim the NACC Offensive Player of the Week title. This is the second weekly honor for Day, he claimed the MLC Offensive Player of the Week honor on March 10, 2020.

At Piedmont, he became the program's all-time leader in goal scoring with a goal and an assist.

In Saturday's 18-3 victory over Hanover, he scored a career-high seven goals, where he became the program's all-time leader in points with 200.

A junior from Meridian, Idaho, Adam Nichols is also claiming the NACC Defensive Player of the Week title for the first time in his career.

Nichols collected a career-high 24 saves on Tuesday at Piedmont, where he also collected five ground balls.

He also added four saves in an 18-3 victory over Hanover where he was credited with the victory.

The Falcons return to action on Wednesday night at Carthage.
