Grenz named MLC Defensive Player of the Week
NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Christopher Grenz was named Midwest Lacrosse Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts this past weekend in CUW's two road victories, the league office announced.
Grenz (sophomore, Centennial, Colo.) helped lead a Falcon defense that gave up only 11 goals combined in two wins this past weekend. CUW defeated Albion College, 10-9, on Saturday followed by an 8-2 win over Alma College on Sunday. He held each team's top attackman scoreless throughout the weekend, and finished with six ground balls and two caused turnovers against Alma.
The MLC weekly honor is the first of the season for CUW and first in Grenz's career.
