MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin's golf programs participated in an unusual event on May 16, running and golfing as many holes as they could during a 13 hour period at Missing Links Golf Course.

Members from the Men's and Women's golf teams participated in the golf marathon event to help raise funds for each respective program; to purchase bags, clothing and equipment for the expanding teams. The first tee shot was hit at 5:30 am and the last putt made at 6:30 pm, with 358 holes played during the 13-hour span.

"It was a long day, but a fun day watching members from both golf programs participate in the event," head coach Greg Nikolai said. "Raising funds to support the program is crucial to our success on the course and we are thankful to all who donated to CUW golf programs."

In all, 16 golfers participated, with each student-athlete helping to raise just over $5,300. The group of Jake Lipski, Kyle Rebholz, Bill Jones and Maddie Zastrow golfed 73 holes at the par 3 course in two hours.
