Men's Golf competes at Midwest Regional Classic

GREEN LAKE, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin faced a difficult field on Friday and Saturday at the Midwest Region Classic and finished in a tie for 16th place. Evan Rabas paced the Falcons with a tie for 30th.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons improved two spots from the first to the second round after shooting three shots better. They fired a 324 on Friday and responded with a 321 on Saturday to tie for 16th place.
- Junior Evan Rabas (Sherwood, Wis.) led the Falcons with a tie for 30th. He was in a tie for 20th after carding a 4-over par 76 on Friday before signing for an 80 on Saturday.
- Junior Bill Jones (New Holstein, Wis.) finished in a tie for 59th with a 160 total (82-78). He jumped 31 spots up the leaderboard after scoring a 6-over par 78 on Saturday. He climbed the leaderboard the most of any player in the lineup.
- Senior Chris Payne (Waukesha, Wis.) tied for 71st after shooting a 163 (80-83). He was in a tie for 61st after the opening round.
- Sophomore Kyle Rebholz (West Bend, Wis.) finished in a tie for 98th with a 168 (86-82) and jumped 29 spots up the leaderboard with his four-shot improvement from the first to second rounds.
- Senior Elijah Glasenapp (Milwaukee, Wis.) rounded out the Falcons lineup with a tie for 129th after carding a 174 (93-81). He had the largest stroke improvement on the team of 12 strokes from the first to second rounds.

BEYOND THE RESULTS
- Rabas finished the tournament just 1-over on par 3s, with a 3.11 scoring average. He was also 4-over on par 4s or an average of 4.22.
- Rabas also finished tied for third among all golfers with 23 pars.
- The field averaged an 82.46 (10 strokes over par) on Friday and an 83.40 (11 strokes over par on Saturday).
