Falcons Post Best Round at McNaughton Invite

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's golf team wrapped up a busy stretch of action at the McNaughton Memorial Invite on Monday. The Falcons finished with a combined round of 329 strokes to finish in fifth place as a team. The host Blueboys of Illinois College won at 291 strokes.

Senior Trenton Sherman (Farmington, Minn.) led the flock in 14th place at 81 strokes.

In 20th place were sophomore Trevor Wotring (Johnsburg, Ill.) and junior Tyler Yaun (Rockton, Ill.) at 82 strokes.

One stroke behind was junior Andrew Elmhorst (Manawa, Wis.) in 25th place at 83 strokes.

Freshman Kean O'Neil (Elkhart Lake, Wis.) and junior Nico Murgas-Bennett (Hartford, Wis.) finished in 27th place at 84 strokes.

The round is tied for the lowest round of the year for CUW.

The Falcons return to play on Friday at the Forester Spring Invite.
