Men's Golf is Fifth at Monmouth

MONMOUTH, Ill. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's golf team opened the Monmouth Fighting Scot Invite on Saturday afternoon at the Gibson Woods Golf Course. The Falcons are in fifth place after the first round with 338 strokes. The Green Knights of St. Norbert lead with 305 strokes.

Senior Trenton Sherman (Farmington, Minn.) leads the flock in 17th place at 82 strokes.

In 19th place is freshman Kean O'Neil (Elkhart Lake, Wis.) at 83 strokes.

At 86 strokes is sophomore Trevor Wotring (Johnsburg, Ill.) in 23rd place.

Junior Tyler Yaun (Rockton, Ill.) recorded 87 strokes in 24th place.

Junior Andrew Elmhorst (Manawa, Wis.) and junior Nico Murgas-Bennett (Hartford, Wis.) are tied for 31st place at 95 strokes.

The Falcons look to close the tournament on Sunday morning. The weather might end the tournament early.
