"We just did not play well this weekend," said Falcon links coach Ray Engelking. "We have a core of good golfers and as they mature, we will get better. The NAC features some very good golfers and strong teams."
Always strong Edgewood rallied from five strokes down after day one to surpass MSOE and take the 2010 Northern Athletics Conference Men's Golf Championship at Whistling Straights Irish Course on Monday.
MSOE's Dane Zachman won medalist honors with a four-over 148 (71-77), four strokes better than runner-up Cameron Parker of Aurora (76-76--152).
In the team finish, Benedictine (313-337) and Lakeland (319-331) tied for third place with a 650, followed by 2009 champion Aurora (326-325--651). Dominican took sixth place in its first season of competition with a 689 (353-336), followed by Marian (340-356--696), Wisconsin Lutheran (345-356--701), Concordia (351-361--712) and Rockford (388-368--756).
