2010 NAC Men’s Golf Awards Announced
Waukesha
The Northern Athletics Conference awards for the
2010 men's golf season were announced by the conference office
Tuesday night. The awards are based on performances at NAC
sanctioned events, including the 2010 NAC Championship.
Aurora's Cameron Parker was named NAC Player of the Year,
Edgewood's Mike Schilling was named Freshman of the Year and
Lakeland's Tyler Bormann was named Coach of the Year.
Parker had one of the lowest averages in the conference this season
with a 76.8 per round average in 12 rounds, including four top-10
finishes. He was also named to the All-NAC team for the third time
in his four-year career.
Schilling was one of three rookies on the All-NAC team, and had a 79.7 per round average in 10 rounds this fall season. He save his best for last, earning his first top-10 finish of the season at the 2010 NAC Championship, helping the Eagles to the title.
Bormann received his first NAC honor, as voted on by his peers, leading the Muskies to a tie for third place at the NAC Championship. Lakeland also won the Marian University Invite, one of two regular season NAC sanctioned events this fall.
