Men’s golf season begins with Highland 36 competition

CUW golfers competed at the Highland "36" invite last weekend. Falcon results were "mixed, but positive", according to Coach Ray Engelking.

The highlight was a solid performance by captain Greg Rusch who turned in a team low 79-80. Freshman Steven Roberts shot an 80-80 to finish just behind Rusch.

The lowest Falcon round of the tournament was a first-day 77 by Jon Waters who "faltered" on day two. Engelking also believes that Eric Hertel and Michael Phung will "play better each time out this season."
