Concordia Men's golf team looks to be improved this fall. Although #1 Phi Waara has graduated, CUW has a "contingent of solid performers who have put in a lot of work on their game over the summer and are moving into the 'single digit handicap area'," according to coach Ray Engelking.

Senior Gregory Rusch, junior Jon Waters (2nd varsity year), and sophomores Nick Falkowski and Eric Hertel are back. Joining them will be new recruits William Matt, Steven Roberts, and Michael Phung. All three freshmen have solid credentials and should help CUW climb in NAC standings.

"I also have three other very good candidates who may yet commit to CUW Golf," sais Engelking. "I am more than confident that we will move up in the conference standings. How far will depend on how much depth we can develop, and the focus of the team. Time will tell. We will be playing at some great courses such as Glen Erin, Whistling Straits, and Cress Creek. Things are looking up."
