Falcons are 2-0 in the NAC
River Forest, IL
CUW (2-0) is off to a flying start in NAC men's basketball after recording a 67-51 road conquest of Dominican last evening.
Skip Newton-Kemp (16) and John Ulrich (14) topped the Falcon scoring charts but early defensive prowess was the key according to Coach Shawn Cassidy.
"We held them to a single field goal over the first six minutes and kind of set the tone," offered Cassidy. "Cory Stark really stood out for us defensively."
Concordia led 32-23 at the break and was not challenged in the second half thanks in part to an impressive 42- 28 rebounding edge.
CUW also connected on 9 of 10 from the charity stripe.
