UW-Whitewater trims CUW 7-4

The nationally-ranked Warhawks (34-4) tallied 4 times in the bottom
of the sixth to overcome a 3-2 deficit and eventually defeat the
Falcons 7-4 in game one of a doubleheader this afternoon.
Hits by the Schilter brothers brought home a first inning run for
CUW but the Warhawks tied it in their half.
Dan Shea singled and eventually scored Concordia's second run in
the 4th.
Whitewater got an unearned run in the fifth to tie the game 2-2
before Concordia took their final lead in the sixth when Nick
Doedens singled and eventually came around on an Adam Martz
hit.
After UW-W's big inning, CUW (21-15) scored one more time on a solo
home run by Matt Schilter.
Joe Jagiello, getting his first start of the season for Concordia,
pitched extremely well into the fateful sixth.
