The Falcons did their offensive damage early and then hung on behind a trio of hurlers to record a 3-1 win over CU- Chicago in game two on Sunday.

Matt Schilter's double drove in Jon Olla with CUW's first tally in the initial inning and then Schilter scored via a Dan Shea sacrifice fly.

Schilter scored again in the third when Austin Sarauer singled him home.

The Cougars got their only run in the sixth off Brent Behling but reliever Ryan Baglow came on to put out that fire before handing off the pitching duties to Matt Mayer who earned the save.

The Falcons (11-7 overall), got only 4 hits off a trio of Cougar pitchers, but have to be elated with their sweep which left CU- Chicago with an 18-6 overall record.

CUW is now tied for the NAC lead with Aurora at 6-2 while CU-Chicago fell to 5-3 in league play.
