MEQUON, Wis. - It was a day of records for the Concordia University Wisconsin Men's Hockey Team in a 5-1 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association win over Finlandia University on Saturday.

The big record to fall was the career goals mark as Devin Stuermer netted a pair of second-period goals to bring his total to 28 in two-plus seasons. That number broke the previous record of 27 held by Jonathan Smith (2007-11). Junior Eli Riddle also tied the career assists mark, while Anthony Pickering picked up a point in the 5-1 win, tying the program mark for consecutive games with a point (8).

Despite all the records fall, the real story of the game may have very well been the play of goaltender Domingo Torrenueva. He stopped 39 shots and is on an incredible three-game stretch. Over his past three starts, the junior has recorded 99 saves, while allowing just three goals.

The Falcons will have just over a month off before playing their next game. CUW will host Aurora University at the Ozaukee Ice Center on Wednesday, January 7 at 7:30 p.m.
