Baseball, Softball to host First Pitch Dinner April 16

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin Baseball and Softball programs, along with the Lakeshore Chinooks, will host its annual First Pitch Dinner on Thursday, April 16 at the Concordia Center for Environmental Stewardship. The CCES building is located behind the outfield fence (right field) at Kapco Park.

This year's Dinner will feature Special Guest Speaker and Professional Baseball Hall of Famer Robin Yount. Yount spent his entire 20-year professional baseball career with the Milwaukee Brewers and won two MVP awards.

Yount also serves as a minority owner for the Lakeshore Chinooks, a Northwoods league baseball team that plays its home games at Kapco Park on the campus of CUW.

Individual tickets to the dinner can be purchased for $75. Those wishing to attend can RSVP to Sandra.barrette@cuw.edu or call 262-243-4369 by Tuesday, April 7. Those wishing to donate to the programs, but who are unable to attend the dinner can do so also.

All proceeds from the dinner will go towards a proposed indoor hitting facility that would be built just outside of Kapco Park.
