Buuck pitches way to second straight NACC weekly honor
WAUKESHA, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin Baseball freshman Carter Buuck has been named the NACC Pitcher of the Week for the second straight week, the league office announced Monday night.
Buuck (Hillsboro, Ore.) earned the award after running his scoreless innings streak to begin his career to 24 with a complete game shutout of defending league champion and 2015 preseason favorite, Concordia Chicago.
The rookie southpaw was dominant against the Cougars as he allowed just three runners to reach base in the 2-0 win. He struck out 10 batters, while issuing no free passes to move his record to 2-0 on the season.
Buuck and the Falcons will be in action today against UW-Oshkosh at Kapco Park. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
