Three more school records fall for Women's Track & Field

OSHKOSH, Wis. – A day after Ariel Kinlow broke two school records, the Concordia University Wisconsin Women's Track & Field team broke three more school marks on Saturday at the UW-Oshkosh Titan Challenge. Nicole Larson (pole vault), Karli Tatum (shot put) and Cassandra Sprotte (800) all set new school marks for the Falcons.

THE BASICS
- Falcons score: 4th of 7 (62 points)
- Location: Kolf Sports Center – Oshkosh, Wis.
- Individual Champions: Nicole Larson (Pole Vault – 3.90 meters); Cassandra Sprotte (800 – 2:19.76)
- School Records: Larson (PV – 3.90 meters); Sprotte (800 – 2:19.76); Karli Tatum (Shot Put – 12.76 meters).

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Larson (junior – Milwaukee, Wis.) moved up to fourth nationally after setting her top mark in the pole vault. She cleared 3.90 meters and easily took home the individual title in the event. She also holds the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference record, a mark she has broken three times this season.

- Sprotte (sophomore - Abbotsford, Wis.) also set the NACC record in the 800 after winning the race with a time of 2:19.76. The previous NACC mark was set last month by Emily Paull of Aurora (2:21.49).

- Tatum (senior – Milwaukee, Wis.) set the school mark in the shot put and placed third in the event. She tossed 12.76 meters for the new school mark.

- Sprotte was joined by an impressive cast of Falcons in the 800 on Saturday. Freshman Molly Wirtz (Stevens Point, Wis.) finished third with a time of 2:23.42, while sophomore Nora Imperl (Greenfield, Wis.) was fourth at 2:23.83.

- In the mile, CUW received a fifth-place finish from junior Lindsey Fratzke (Winona, Minn.) as she posted a time of 5:39.14. Sophomores Martha Kulberg (Maple Grove, Minn.) and Ashley Scheele (Kohler, Wis.) placed sixth and seventh in the event as well.

- Freshman Morgan Marnholtz (Merrill, Wis.) added a third-place finish in the triple jump. Marnholtz recorded a distance of 10.43 meters for the third-place finish.
