Kassees, Faber set school records in weight throw at Last Chance Meet

KENOSHA, Wis. – Seniors Andrea Kassees and Andrew Faber saved their best for the end of their senior season as each set school records at the Carthage College "Gill Athletics Final Qualifier" meet Friday, March 6.

Faber (Germantown, Wis.) shattered his record in the weight throw as he recorded a distance of 17.50 meters, winning the event Friday. Faber finished the indoor season with the 24th best weight throw in the nation, just missing out on a trip to the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships.

Kassees (Waukesha, Wis.) broke the weight throw in the school record by .01 meters as she landed a personal-best throw of 14.93 meters. The senior landed the mark of the fourth of her six attempts and tied for sixth-place in the event.

Junior Karli Tatum (Milwaukee, Wis.) also posted a PR in the weight throw as she landed a mark of 14.50 meters in her first toss of the competition.

Freshman McKenna Daulton (Hudson, Wis.) also competed at the meet and tied a PR in the pole vault by clearing 3.11 meters. Tyler White (Milwaukee, Wis.) competed in the triple jump, finishing second with a mark of 13.76 meters.

The Falcons will now turn to the outdoor season, which begins March 20-21 when they competed at the Rhodes College Invitational.
