Women's Tennis to play John Carroll in NCAA Tournament

MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin will face John Carroll in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Tournament, which will take place in Whitewater, Wis., on Thursday.

The start time will be announced on the Women's Tennis schedule page (click here) once decided. The winner will then face Washington St. Louis on Friday. The neutral site match is being hosted by UW-Whitewater.

Concordia Wisconsin enters the match with a 16-10 overall record and recently won the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament on Sunday in epic fashion with a 5-3 victory over Edgewood. The Falcons trailed 3-0 in the title match after doubles play and four of the six singles matches were won by the Eagles, before Concordia Wisconsin pushed three matches to a third set for the come-from-behind win. They also won the NACC regular season with a perfect 10-0 record.

John Carroll brings a 15-9 record into the contest and won the Ohio Athletic Conference for the 10th time this past Saturday. The Blue Streaks won eight matches this season by 9-0 scores and enter with a nine-match winning streak. They also rank 13th in the ITA Central Region.

Concordia Wisconsin and John Carroll haven't played each other since the 2006 season.
