Women's Tennis clinches share of NACC regular season title

MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin continues winning against conference foes and as a result, they clinched a share of the NACC regular season title after a 9-0 shutout victory over Wisconsin Lutheran on Friday evening. The Falcons can win the league title outright on Saturday with a win at MSOE.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin lost just 12 games the entire match and blanked Wisconsin Lutheran twice in doubles action and three times during singles play. The pairings of junior Hannah Tresedder (Kingsford, mich.) and sophomore Bailey Kelly (Racine, Wis.), along with junior Sabine Jacobsen (Palatine, Ill.) and senior Michaela Wagner (Oswego, Ill.) each denied their opponents a chance to score, winning 8-0 to help the Falcons gain a 3-0 lead.
- The Falcons' junior Elizabeth Carrol (Hartford, Wis.), freshman Emma Sievers (Slinger, Wis.) and Jacobsen each earned 6-0, 6-0 victories, respectively, while sophomore Ashley Solberg (Waukesha, Wis.) and Tresedder picked up 6-0, 6-1 and 6-1, 6-0 wins.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- It was the fifth 9-0 victory this season for the Falcons and they extend their NACC winning streak to 18-consecutive matches.
- Concordia Wisconsin hasn't lost a home conference match in two seasons.
- Wagner moves into a tie for fourth place all-time in program history after her doubles win to put her at 35 in her career.
- The Falcons have defeated the Warriors for the fourth time in a row. 

NEXT ON THE SCHEDULE
- The Falcons travel to MSOE for a 10 am match and if they win the NACC regular season will be theirs outright.
