Women's Tennis highlights All-NACC postseason honors list

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin won the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference regular season title for the second-consecutive season and as a result was represented well on the NACC postseason awards list. Steve Anschutz was named Coach of the Year.

Anschutz guided the Falcons to their second-straight outright NACC regular season title with an undefeated 9-0 record. CUW won six matches by a 9-0 score and outscored league foes by a combined score of 86-5 this fall. It is also the third time in program history the Falcons have gone undefeated during NACC regular season play (2007, 2015).

The Falcons' No. 1 singles player Ashley Solberg (sophomore, Waukesha, Wis.) earned All-NACC Singles honors after posting a 7-1 record in league play. She earned a pair of 6-0, 6-0 victories and had winning streaks of three and four during conference play. This fall Solberg was 9-2 overall in singles play.

Junior Hannah Tresedder (Kingsford, Mich.) was named to the All-NACC Singles list after posting a 6-3 record in league play, primarily at the No. 2 position. She had three matches in conference play where she gave up two games or less. Tresedder was 8-5 overall in singles play this fall.

Sophomore Bailey Kelly (Racine, Wis.) was tabbed All-NACC Singles after recording a 9-0 record in NACC play, all at the No. 3 position. She had four victories against conference foes in which she gave up no more than two games. Kelly was 12-1 overall this fall.

In addition, all three of the Falcons doubles pairings were named All-NACC.

The duo of junior Elizabeth Carroll (Hartford, Wis.) and Solberg combined to post a 7-1 record in NACC play, primarily at the No. 1 position to be named to the All-NACC Doubles Team. They also had a 9-3 record overall. During league play, they won four matches by an 8-0 score and ended the fall portion of the season on a four-match winning streak.

Kelly and Tresedder teamed up to add All-NACC Doubles Team honors to their career achievements, after winning all nine conference doubles matches this season at the No. 2 position. They had four shutout doubles wins and gave up two games or less in all but one league doubles match.

Junior Sabine Jacobsen (Palatine, Ill.) and senior Michaela Wagner (Oswego, Ill.) were named to the All-NACC Doubles Team after winning all nine of their conference doubles matches, primarily at the No. 3 position. The pairing shutout four league doubles opponents. They also had a 13-1 record overall this fall.
