Women's Tennis cruises past Aurora, Dominican to stay undefeated

MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin blew past the opposition on Saturday during NACC play to remain atop the standings with an 8-1 win against Aurora and a 9-0 shutout against Dominican.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin gave up just one point on Saturday during a pair of NACC matches, which they won to remain the lone undefeated team in the league. They have two conference matches remaining on the schedule.
- The Falcons opened their first match of the doubleheader by winning all three doubles points to gain early momentum against the Spartans. The duo of junior Sabine Jacobsen (Palatine, Ill.) and senior Michaela Wagner (Oswego, Ill.) blanked their No. 3 doubles opponents by an 8-0 score.
- During singles play it was junior Elizabeth Carroll (Hartford, Wis.) and Jacobsen who each earned convincing 6-0, 6-0 victories at No. 4 and 6 singles, respectively.
- The afternoon match against Dominican saw Concordia Wisconsin give up just eight games the entire match.
- Sophomore Ashley Solberg (Waukesha, Wis.) and Carroll shutout their No. 1 doubles foes by an 8-0 decision.
- Solberg, Carroll and Jacobsen all earned easy 6-0, 6-0 victories during their singles matches to pace the Falcons in the shutout victory.

BEYOND THE RESULTS
- Wagner moved into a tie for fifth on the program's all-time doubles wins list with 34. She is also ninth with a .642 doubles winning percentage.
- The Falcons have four Falcons who haven't lost a NACC singles match this season, along with a two doubles teams who are undefeated.
- Concordia Wisconsin extends its NACC winning streak to 17-straight matches which dates back to the start of 2015 season.
