HOW IT HAPPENED

- Van Dusseldorp (Burlington, Wis.) then took over in the second half, scoring two goals 6:21 apart from one another. His first score was assisted on a beautiful 30-yard pass from Campos (Milwaukee, Wis.). He then made the score 3-0 off an assist from sophomore Luis Loya (Bolingbrook, Ill.).

- Senior Alec Brew (Appleton, Wis.) picked up his second straight win to begin the season by running his scoreless streak to 168:06 to start 2015. Killian Mielotz (Grafton, Wis.) came in for the final 11:54 of play.

- Van Dusseldorp recorded his fifth career multiple-goal contest and first since September 13 of last season. He has one career hat trick, which came in his freshman year against Maranatha Baptist. The Falcons are 5-0-0 in games which Van Dusseldorp tallies two or more goals.

- CUW posed back-to-back shutout wins for the first time since October 26 and 29 of the 2013 season. In 2013 the Falcons downed Concordia Chicago by a 2-0 score and then blanked Edgewood with a 1-0 final.

- Serna netted his first career goal and was the second Falcon freshman to tally a score this season. Diaz recorded a goal in the first match of 2015.

- The starting backline of Mark Samuel (Brookfield, Wis.), Gavin Falotico (Palatine, Ill.), Jake Barnes (Fort Atkinson, Wis.) and Bobby Russ (Wauwatosa, Wis.) has helped with back-to-back shutouts to begin the season. Jeremy Jenich (Mundelein, Ill.) started for Falotico in the first match of the year and several other players have contributed early in the season.
