Hockey sinks Lawrence on Senior Night; Leads NCHA North

MEQUON, Wis. – The Falcons stand alone in the NCHA North Division with a 6-3 victory over Lawrence on senior night.

Senior Nick Guiney (Victoria, B.C.) scored 42 seconds into the game with assists to senior Nick Guiney (Victoria, B.C.) and senior Luke Ranallo (St. Paul, Minn.).

Guerra struck again eight minutes later off passes from senior Cole Pickup (Victoria, B.C.) and junior Cory Dennis (Madison, Wis.).

The Vikings scored on a breakaway off a steal.

Freshman Spencer Milne closed the first period scoring with a centering shot where freshman Michael Makarenko (Calgary, Alta.) and Cory Dennis added assists.

The Vikings opened the second-period scoring, but Nick Guerra earned the hat trick with his third goal of the night with assists to junior Thomas Dyball (Papillion, Neb.) and Cory Dennis.

The visitors cut into the lead but the Falcons bounced back.

Nick Guerra scored his fourth goal of the game on the power play, off passes from senior Braydon Barker (Red Deer, Alta.) and Cory Dennis.

Luc Kreuser scored an empty-net goal with 33 seconds remaining with Nick Guiney and Thomas Dyball adding the assists.

Junior Bo Didur (West Vancouver, B.C.) had 39 saves in the victory.

If the Falcons win one game next weekend at Marian, the Falcons will be NCHA North Division champions.
