The CUW field hockey fell to the Colonels of Centre College on Saturday with a score of 3-0 to fall to 2-8.
Both teams entered halftime scoreless, as CUW senior goalkeeper Halli Schneiderwendt (Appleton, Wis.) recorded 13 saves in the half.
The third quarter saw Centre tack on the game's first goal to take the 1-0 lead. Seven minutes later, the Colonels extended their lead to 2-0.
The third and final Centre goal came late in the fourth quarter to help them secure the 3-0 victory.
In the loss, senior Abby McGue (St. Louis, Mo.) led the flock with three shots, including a team-high two shots on goal. Meanwhile, fellow senior Berit Poirier (Vista, Calif.) registered the other shot on goal for the Falcons.
On the defensive end, Halli Schneiderwendt ended her day totaling 15 saves.
The Falcons' Kentucky road stint continues on Sunday in Lexington when they face the non-conference opponent Pioneers of Transylvania University at 11 a.m.
