MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin field hockey team opened Southern Athletic Association (SAA) play on Saturday. The Colonels of Centre claimed a 5-0 victory to send the Falcons to 1-3 on the year.
The Colonels peppered the Concordia cage on Saturday with 28 shots. Senior Halli Schneiderwendt (Appleton, Wis.) secured nine saves during the start. Freshman Parks Cawthray (Oakville, Ont.) collected seven saves in the final 17 minutes.
Senior Sarita Arsham (Houston, Texas) led the Falcons with two shots and a defensive save.
The Falcons look to quickly shake Saturday off when they host DePauw on Sunday.
