Edgewood sweeps Volleyball
MADISON, Wis. -- Edgewood College's volleyball team had no trouble sweeping Concordia University Wisconsin on Tuesday night during Northern Athltics Conference play (25-16, 25-12, 25-13).
The Falcons (3-18, 2-7 NAC) were tied 10-10 midway through set one before the Eagles (15-9, 8-3 NAC) began dominating at the net. EC hitters Arlyn Wellnitz and Mallory Palmer combined for 10 kills in the opening set and 22 for the match.
CUW had only 19 kills as a team, to go along with 23 errors.
Senior Brittany Deinlein (New Berlin, Wis.) led head coach Joe Cawley's young team with 15 digs.
The Falcons travel to Concordia University Chicago for a 7 p.m. Friday match before a 4 p.m. home contest on Saturday against Aurora University inside the R. John Buuck Field House.
