Wresting Posts a Winning Record

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW wrestling team posted a winning record in the 2021-22 season. The Falcons finished the year with a 7-6 record.

The birds placed fifth at the 2022 CCIW Championships and 13th at the NCAA Regional Championships.

The Falcons also shined in the classroom this year where four Falcons were named NWCA NCAA Division III Scholar All-Americans. Earning the honor for the Falcons are juniors Jack O'Donnell (Huntington Beach, Calif.) and Quinn Hoopman (Cedar Grove, Wis.) as well as sophomore Peyton Smith (Milwaukee, Wis.).

The Falcons were led by Jack O'Donnell with a 26-9 record.

CUW collected victories over Carthage, Bryant & Stratton, Wilmington, Huntingdon, MSOE, Lakeland and Aurora.

The Blue and White posted a perfect record at home with victories over Bryant & Stratton, MSOE and Aurora. The Falcons also hosted one of the biggest tournaments in NCAA Division III with the CUW Open.

The Falcons return to action in November.
