Men's Soccer edged at UW-Whitewater

MEQUON, Wis. – Jake Santellano of UW-Whitewater scored the lone goal in the 75th minute as the Concordia University Wisconsin Men's Soccer team was edged in a non-conference match Saturday evening. The loss drops the Falcons to 3-3 for the season, 3-0 at home and 0-3 in road contests.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Santellano provided the goal with 15:12 remaining in regulation. His header came off a corner kick from Kyle Clancy. The corner kicks advantage proved to be a difference for the Warhawks, who had seven chances from the corner compared to zero for the Falcons.

- CUW did finish the match with a 12-9 edge in shots but recorded just two shots on goal. UW-Whitewater tallied four shots on goal, all four in the second half as Nate Yeager (Rio Rancho, N.M.) finished the night with three saves in his first start of the season.

- Dagoberto Diaz (Woodburn, Ore.) led all players with three shots, including one on goal. Zach Gyuricza (Palatine, Ill.) had the other shot on goal for the Falcons as Jake King corralled two saves for the host Warhawks.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The match was the final non-conference one of the season for CUW. The Falcons have 11 matches remaining, all will be against NACC opponents. CUW won last year's NACC regular season championship with a 9-1-0 league record.
