Men’s Golf Opens Spring at John McNaughton Memorial Classic

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The CUW men's golf team opened their spring season at Jacksonville Country Club in the John McNaughton Memorial Classic.

The Falcons finished in ninth place with 351 strokes.

Knox College finished first with 295 strokes.

Freshman Francisco Ascenio Beltra (Ibi, Spain) finished with a six-over-par round at 78 strokes for the team lead.

With 85 strokes, sophomore Tyler Yaun (Rockton, Ill.) finished in second place for the Falcons.

Freshman Grant Naumann (Oconomowoc, Wis.) finished with a score of 93 strokes.

Both sophomores Garrett Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.) and Joshua Samsell (Bay City, Mich.) finished with 95 strokes.

The Falcons are back on the course at the Forester Spring Invite on April 14
